David E. Smyth is a Senior Partner of Family Financial Partners, Inc. – a financial services firm in Lexington, Kentucky.
David and his management team provide financial solutions and investment services to clients located in twenty-six states.
David holds a bachelor’s degree in Media Communications from Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky. He began his career in financial services in 1998 with Capital Advisors Group. Later, he joined Interactive Planning Corp., and then joined IPC Financial as a partner in 2003. In 2005, he founded Family Financial Partners.
A Seattle, Washington native, David spends most of his free time with his sons, Gates, Ridley and Michael and his beautiful bride Kerri. David and Kerri share a passion for fitness, wine, horse racing, sports, and traveling the world while chasing sunrises and sunsets. The Smyth’s love trips to the beach and can often be found at the beach in St. Augustine, Florida.
Through the Family Financial Foundation, which he and fellow Senior Partner Alex Roig founded in 2010, David is actively involved in supporting many local charities. Since its inception, the foundation has been proud to support organizations that help Kentucky families, including The Nest, LexCare, Lexington Dream Factory, Christian Appalachian Project and Jarrett’s Joy Cart.
In addition, David serves on the Bequest and Planned Giving Council at his alma mater, Asbury University. He is also a member of the Rotary Club of Lexington and participates in TOBA (Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association). David enjoys attending Crossroads Church as well as Southland Christian Church.
Alexander M. Roig is a Senior Partner of Family Financial Partners, Inc. – a financial services firm.
Alex holds a bachelor’s in Business with a Financial emphasis from Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky. He began his career in financial services in 2002 with Capital Advisors Group. Later, he joined Interactive Planning Corp., and then joined IPC Financial as a junior partner in 2003.
Alex, a Hawesville, Kentucky native, and his wife, Jamie, a Lawrenceburg, Kentucky native and Fayette County School Psychologist, enjoy spending summer weekends traveling to the area’s various lakes and also have a love of food and fine wines. Every winter, the Roigs join an ever-growing group of family, friends and clients who escape the Kentucky winter and celebrate the new year by taking a cruise.
Alex is actively involved with the Bluegrass Sportsmen’s League, the Pi Kappa Alpha Alumni Board, and the Family Financial Foundation. Alex also volunteers on the organizational board of the Sporting Clays Classic which benefits the Blue Grass Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
Alex, Jamie, their sons Carter and Andrew, and their dogs Amiga (who only answers to “Miggy”) and Rocky live in Lexington, Kentucky.
Kyrk Davis is a Wealth Advisor and Operations Associate at Family Financial Partners, Inc. – a financial services firm.
Kyrk holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the university of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky. He started his career working as a teller for BB&T Bank and an accountant for Anderson Communities, a real estate company.
Kyrk hails from Florence, Kentucky, and also spent time in London (Kentucky, not England!) before moving to Richmond in 2016.
In his free time, Kyrk enjoys anything outdoors, especially mountain biking and backpacking in the Smoky Mountains. He has served in the National Guard for six years, and attends Mount Carmel Christian Church in Laurel County.
Kyrk and his wife, Hannah, who works at First Trust Bank, live in Richmond with their cats, Stormy and Oats.
Ryan Petrunyak is a Paraplanner at Family Financial Partners – a financial services firm in Lexington, Kentucky.
In 2016 Ryan moved to Lexington for school, and now has a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Kentucky where he met his fiancé Katie.
Ryan was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, and is a diehard Ravens and Orioles fan.
Outside the office, Ryan attends Southland Christian Church, is an avid horse racing and sports fan, and enjoys reading nonfiction.
